Field Guide

Need a hand?

Whether you're finding your way around Field Guide, connecting your account, or having trouble with a quest, we're here to help.

Getting started

What is Field Guide?

Field Guide is a place-based guide operated by GLXY Technologies, Inc. The map at map.fieldguide.earth shows places, trails, and your progress. You can check in when you are at a pin, use Look and Sit, save notes, and read a wallet that belongs to your account. This website introduces Field Guide. The map and connected agents are where adventures are created and walked.

How do I connect my account?

Sign in at map.fieldguide.earth/sign-in with your Field Guide account. That sign-in is for the map, You, and prove or dashboard flows. It does not, by itself, connect ChatGPT.

How do I use Field Guide in ChatGPT?

In ChatGPT, add the Field Guide connector and approve it on the Field Guide authorise page. There is no link that opens a Field Guide chat with your introduction already pasted. After it is connected, you can ask it to open the map, check in, look, sit, read your wallet, or save a note. ChatGPT only receives what that tool returns. It does not receive your whole Field Guide account.

How do I find nearby guides and quests?

Open the map and use the guide list, or ask a connected ChatGPT to show a Field Guide map layer. Published adventures can appear as pins. A draft does not.

Location and quests

Why does Field Guide request location access?

To show where you are, to measure distance to a pin, and to accept a check-in, Look, or Sit only when you are actually there. It is not continuous background tracking.

Why isn't my check-in working?

Check-in needs a GPS fix inside the pin’s radius, and the accuracy has to be at least as tight as that radius. A vague fix is rejected. Open Look and use the control that sends your phone’s location. An address typed in chat is not a check-in.

Can I complete quests without visiting the location?

No. A location check-in is refused when the fix is outside the pin. Do not send invented coordinates.

Where can I see my progress and collectibles?

On the map, open You. In ChatGPT, ask for your progress or your wallet after the connector is signed in. The wallet reply is a read of address, native balance, and collectible metadata.

Accounts and wallets

How do I reconnect my account?

If ChatGPT says the session expired, reconnect the Field Guide connector and sign in on the authorise page. Signing in on You alone does not refresh ChatGPT.

How can I view my wallet and collectibles?

Ask the connected ChatGPT for your Field Guide wallet, or open You on the map. The ChatGPT tool does not create a wallet, mint, send, or sign.

Can Field Guide move funds through ChatGPT?

No. The current wallet tool is read-only. It cannot transfer, swap, or sign, and support will never ask for a private key or recovery phrase to “help you move funds”.

How do I request account or data deletion?

Email privacy@hitchhikers.earth with the username or email on the account, and say what you want removed. There is no delete button in the product today. Public blockchain records cannot be deleted. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting

Contact support

Email privacy@hitchhikers.earth. That is the working privacy and support address. There is no separate Field Guide support mailbox on file. We do not promise a response time.

The form fills a message to that address and opens it in your email application. Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself. Opening the application is not a submitted request. If it does not open, copy your message and send it to privacy@hitchhikers.earth. The form is not stored on a Field Guide server.

Field Guide support will never ask you to disclose a private key, seed phrase, or recovery phrase. Do not send passwords either.
